![]() I thought that had been possible some operating system versions back. And I couldn't see an option to extend the guest network to WLAN neither on my router. And if guest network is disabled, then LAN port 4 of the router is available for the main LAN. The settings allow to enable or disable guest network. On my model, there is no configuration option to change such an assignment. On my box, the guest network needs to attach to LAN port 4. You may use a switch or a router to attach a whole network instead of just one device. If your test network needs Internet access but no access to your main LAN nor main WLAN, you could attach your test network on the guest network of your router. There's mention of guest network functionality but I suspect that's more to do with firewall rules than handing out a IP addresses for a completely different subnet. I want to continue using its PABX features. The modem comes with several LAN ports and no WLAN. I already have the WLAN of the Fritz!Box disabled. And I've another modem to replace the Fritz!Box. I already have my separate router currently connected to that Fritz!Box. I prefer to have WLAN subnet separated of LAN subnet. That's why I started to replace this ISP supplied router by my own. And I have the same limitations, and others too. I've the former top model Fritz!Box 7490. So no, you can't assign multiple IP addresses to your router. So you can't downgrade to a operating system version with support for ssh. And your vendor has dropped ssh access several operating system versions before your model had been released.
